Why do I write?
I ain’t gonna start with those standard boring bio details, but I am gonna tell you who I am. And THAT is a survivor, what I say ain’t always pretty. Hell, my ugly some people can't even stomach, and that's okay, my music ain’t for everyone, I respect that.
I got so much noise built up in my head from the hell I lived. I don’t even hear my own voice sometimes, and yeah, my songs are gonna make you feel that. Been wantin’ to tell my story my entire life, but I been held back by fear of hurtin’ my grandparents but they are gone now… and I am gonna tell my truth because it is MINE, and ain’t nothin’ gonna stop me.
Yeah, I’m hoping to heal somewhere along the way, reachin’ out to other survivors sayin’ I SEE YOU, it's okay to have unwelcome thoughts, it's okay to be angry. It's OKAY to not know who you are underneath the pain. Some songs might come out as country, some come out screamin’, distorted, or broken. I’m gonna use whatever sound makes you FEEL the words I gotta say.
